Playa del Carmen, 29 October 2005 - Repairing Las Palapas requires more time than we had anticipated. We have therefore postponed the reopening of the hotel to 10 November 2005.

We are looking forward to welcoming guests again at Las Palapas.

Playa del Carmen, 25 October 2005 - We are continuously joining all our efforts and working hard to clean and repair Las Palapas. Our fax (+52) 984/873 0458 is working again as well as our internet connections (email: info@laspalapas.com).

We are on schedule to re-open Las Palapas on 01 November. We will keep you informed about the progress.

Playa del Carmen, 23 October 2005 - The hurricane "Wilma" moved very slowly, remaining in Playa del Carmen for two days with strong winds and a high amount of rain. The damages that the hurricane caused to Playa del Carmen and to the hotel Las Palapas are therefore more severe than expected.

The date on which we hope to be able to accommodate guests again is delayed to Tuesday, 01 November 2005. We will do our utmost to be ready by then.

Communication with Playa del Carmen and the hotel Las Palapas still is extremely difficult. Please check this page regularly for the latest information.

Playa del Carmen, 22 October 2005 - Hurricane WILMA hit the Riviera Maya region on Friday, 21 October 2005. The hotel Las Palapas - which was timely evacuated - has suffered some damage. The management and staff of the hotel will do their utmost to repair these damages and to welcome guests again as soon as possible. As of today, we hope that we will be ready by Wednesday, 26 October 2005. Before this date, we are unable to accommodate guests.
