  Hotel Las Palapas is located 50 kilometers (30 miles) south of Cancun International Airport and 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) north of downtown Playa del Carmen, directly on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mayan Riviera on the Mexican Caribbean. Only a few steps away from the hotel you will find yourself directly on the well known 5th Avenue of Playa del Carmen, famous for its numerous restaurants, bars and small shops of all kinds and the famous Mamita’s Beach Club. Tulum, Cobá and other archaeological sites can easily be visited due to their proximity.
  
  Accommodations
  75 rooms (7 Beachfront, 48 Standard and 20 Garden Deluxe) in one or two-story bungalows ("cabañas"). All equipped with 2 full-size beds, ceiling fan, bathroom with shower and hair dryer, safety-deposit box and a private veranda or balcony with hammocks and armchairs. The Garden Deluxe rooms have an additional sitting area with a sofa-bed. Our rooms are surrounded by ample and exuberant tropical gardens. All rooms are air-conditioned. All rooms have complimentary wifi. Mini-bars are available on request. The voltage of our electrical outlets is 110 volts

  Soft, white-sand beach with deck-chairs (at no cost) under the shadow of “palapas” (thatched parasols) and palm trees.

  Fresh-water swimming pool, with its own sunbathing area (in service from 7am to 7pm)

  Restaurant "Acuario" for breakfast (buffet) and dinner. Meals a la carte are also available. Three times per week buffet dinners are served accompanied by live music.

  Beach Bar located directly on the beach. At lunch time, the Beach Bar also provides a la carte meals in a casual environment.
  
  "Cyan-Ha" Dive Center offering scuba diving (PADI), snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, fishing and windsurfing at an additional cost each, depending on the type of service requested.
  
  Our air-conditioned Wellness Center is surrounded by beautiful gardens and water fountains. The Center includes a well-equipped gymnasium (free for hotel guests). Therapeutic massages and other treatments are offered (at an additional cost depending on the treatment) on the second floor of the Center.

  Hotel Las Palapas has a commitment to the environment. Only about 20% of the land is developed, leaving the rest as gardens and untouched areas.
  Bed linens and towels are changed only upon request.
  Hotel Las Palapas has a water and energy saving program and recycles most of its refuse.

  Transportation
  From / To airport: Most Tour Operators include this in their packages. There is a taxi service at an approximate cost of US $80 airport-hotel and US $50 hotel-airport (up to 3 persons per taxi): you can request this service at info@laspalapas.com There is also a bus service that runs from the airport to Playa del Carmen at an approximate cost of US $8 per person.
  There is a bus station in Playa del Carmen, where buses depart to most destinations throughout the Yucatan Peninsula.
  Local taxi service can be requested at the Front Desk.
